Printing Mural wallpaper

Published: 25 Feb, 2019

It’s been a busy week at the shop. We’ve been flat out printing some mural wallpaper for a feature wall. This forest scene in the Routeburn track looks fantastic printed really big. It’s always exciting to see an extra-large image coming off the printer.

The hardest part about designing the wallpaper is calculating where to put the joins. This feature wall is about 7 metres long with two doors and so we needed 6 joins in total. We’re lucky to have a large workshop space where we can layout the papers and make sure they line up exactly.

Mural wallpaper isn’t the only thing we’ve been doing…

Of course, we can’t stop our usual jobs and so we have another splashback ready for installation next week and two large wall maps on the go as well.

Next week looks like being just as busy.
