Recently I’ve been asked for some more colourful splashbacks in particular adding colour with flowers. Although I have a few images using poppies, and others with lupins, I’ve tended to steer clear of flowers.
Having been asked to design a splashback using flowers I’ve had to explore different ways of photographing them, including using macro extension tubes for the first time. To help me in this project I signed up for an online tutorial by Denise Love of 2 lil owls fame

I like how I can be much more artistic with my images. Although at the moment they can only be used for relatively small splashbacks, I’ll be adding a flower gallery to the library of images very soon.
